Hydroelectricity The Energy division of EXP has been recognized for its expertise in hydroelectricity for several decades. From the construction of new plants to the rehabilitation or maintenance of existing facilities, our experts can help you develop, renovate or increase the power of hydroelectricity resources to meet the growing demand for renewable energy. Whether for major projects funded by governments, development banks or the private sector for dams and run-of-river facilities, our specialists offer you innovative solutions, using an approach based on openness and collaboration. Rehabilitation expertise Since 1950, EXP has been a preferred partner of Hydro-Québec across the province with thousands of projects delivered annually in generation, transmission and distribution for its more than 131,000 km of transmission and distribution network and its installed capacity of approximately 37,200 MW. We have developed a unique expertise in asset maintenance and have a large team dedicated to power plant development and rehabilitation projects that carry out the daily engineering and monitoring of construction, repair, modernization and expansion of hydroelectric production facilities. Today, we export our expertise and know-how around the world and support public and private producers in the implementation of their hydroelectric projects. 3D Modeling EXP also provides the industry with virtual 3D design and construction services. The 3D approach includes the virtual design of any structure or building in order to perform the analyses and simulations required to validate the project requirements. Beyond 3D modeling, a global systematic approach allows us to integrate the various management and design processes in order to foster collaboration, whether in a BIM (Building Information Modeling) or PLM (Product Life Management) environment.
